The idea is that when American female soldiers become pregnant and must be sent home from war, Maj. Gen. Anthony Cucolo wants to treat them the same as a guy who shoots himself in the foot on purpose to avoid service.  To be clear the general also wants to court martial the serviceman who, err, serviced the soldier with child.  It seems more likely for both honor and monetary reasons that the woman would keep quiet, take the penalty, and protect her man.  The military does support Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, right?

However, if Cucolo is so serious about this policy, it would stand to reason he would in favor of more lesbians and gay servicemen, right?
