How to pick a winning tourney bracket?

The NCAA tournament inevitably makes no sense by the time the first few rounds are over. There are freak shots, freak accidents, and freak(y) suspensions (ahem, BYU).  I remember watching Family Matters as a kid.  Eddie Winslow said he bet on the team that came from the city with the ugliest woman.  This is interesting but I am aware of any quantifiable way to figure this out.  I generally tend to go with my gut but this year there were a  few instances that were too close to call or I did not know enough to pick a team.  In this case, I decided, I would go with the team from the state with the higher unemployment.  1. I’d feel like  I was cheering for the underdog and 2. who knows, maybe they’re angrier and their fans that much fiercer as they look for hope anywhere they can get it.  Right?

Here’s my bracket and from Bureau of Labor and Statistics
